BIOGRAPHY
Uncle Bengine and the Restraining Orders are based in Harrisonburg, VA, a growing college town in the middle of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The band’s geographical location has shaped its sound, pulling punk and rock influences from the underground basement scene typical in many college towns while simultaneously taking elements from the music born out of the surrounding mountains.

If the Dead Milkmen had formed a country band,

Write Home is a casual country-punk record, (with) somewhat anxious undercurrents
-Rosey Overdrive

I’m grateful for genre-bending country and western punkers from the east coast.
-Common Folk Music

another straight-up rock jam from Funny/Not Funny Records, that little analog label with a lot of Southern charm.… it’s a refreshing sound to my Northern ears
