We are excited to be back in action! We have a few shows coming up this month! The first being today at Noon on the Blue Nile patio. Come hang out with us!
We are honored to have been invited to submit a track to a benefit bandcamp comp that our friends in the Naked Gods have put together. Their guitarist was recently hit with some unexpected medical expenses and all the proceeds from this donation based download comp will go towards helping him through this trying time. Check out the page for more details, donation and download this awesome comp!
Hello internet! It has been too long. Life decided to rear it’s ugly head of responsibility so we took the Fall off to get all of our affairs in order. Now that winter has slowed down the roar of life, we have had some time to play music together and, don’t tell anyone, but we may have a new song or two in the works!!!!
Thursday February 13th - Upstage
Join us on Thursday night for a lovely pre-Valentine’s show at the Upstage! We will be playing with our good friend Stephen Lee and Loves It, music starts at 8pm! If you don’t know where the Upstage is send us a message!
Looking forward to coming out of hiding this Thursday! We hope to see you there!!!!!!!
Things have been busy on the life front, making it quiet on the Uncle Bengine front, but do not fear we’ve got shows coming up!
Next weekend we are going to hit the stage again:
Saturday October 19th at the 4th (or 5th) Annual Squashfest, held at 2 Pond Farm. 1pm - 7pm, tons of squash and squash related treats! Seems like the prefect way to welcome the fall season. Here is a link to the facebook info: https://www.facebook.com/events/507224842704226/
Come hang out with us, and eat some squash!
Sunday October 20th at the Blue Nile with our good friend Stephen Lee, you might remember him as the guy with a bread from Who Are the Southern Baptists? 9pm Facebook event coming soon.
We hope to see you next weekend!!!!!
It has been awhile since we have played out. We are back and ready to roll. We will be playing the next few shows without a drummer, so come watch us figure out how to start songs without drum clicks.
Saturday Night - September 14th
Speakertree Records in Lynchburg VA. Show starts at 8pm.
Come check out some records and some tunes from Gentile Magick and Uncle Bengine! Here is a link to the facebook event!
Tuesday Night - September 17th
We return to our home base at the Blue Nile in downtown Harrisonburg next Tuesday to play with Shenandoah Alley and Austin Lucas (full band). We are pumped to be on such a solid showcase. If you missed Austin last time he came through town, don’t make the same mistake twice. If you were at the last show you already know he is not to be missed. Please help us out by telling your friends to join us next Tuesday at the Blue Nile!

Next Thursday will make for a bittersweet evening for Uncle Bengine and the Restraining Orders, we are excited to make our return to Clementine and to open the show for our friends from NC, Bombadil, but we are bummed to say it will be our last show with Todd Yoder holding down the drum duties. We have had a fantastic year (plus) playing and hanging with Todd, and we knew that he would be leaving us for the west coast sooner or later and that time is now. We are very pumped for his new opportunities out west, but he will most certainly be missed. Make sure to come out to the show, buy him a drink and wish him safe travels!
We are still working on finalizing the new line up of the Restraining Orders, so if you play drums, hate money and enjoy spending evenings making awkward inside jokes in random towns, hit us up!
See you next Thursday!
We had a fantastic time over the weekend, it is always a blast hanging with the Southern Baptists dudes, thanks to them for showing us a good time! Thanks to Cassandra, Angus and Steve for setting up shows for us. Lastly a huge thank you to Mike and the rest of the Untitled Music Fest crew for putting on a great event and not letting the rain get them down! We look forward to coming back next year!
We got added to a show this Friday in Harrisonburg VA. We are playing at the Blue Nile with the Invisible Hand and Suburban Living. The show starts at 9pm, $5.00 at the door. Thursday is Megan’s birthday, so make sure to come out on Friday and buy her a birthday drink!
We have a bunch of shows coming up at the end of May into the beginning of June. We are heading back to Manassas, hitting some new towns, and then heading back for the second annual Untitled Music Fest! We will try and post more details soon, but we are looking forward to seeing everyone at the end of the month!
This Friday (April 26th) at the Blue Nile, we are excited to be apart of a benefit show for Cat’s Cradle. Cat’s Cradle is a non-profit cat rescue located in downtown Harrisonburg. Please come out and support this important local organization, 100% of the door goes to Cat’s Cradle! The show starts around 9pm, we open, followed by Elephant Child. Come hang out!
